DD122 Open University Course
An Introduction to Social Science Part Two
This page contains my rough typed notes and mind maps for the Open University Course DD122 An Introduction to the Social Sciences part 2, which I started November 2008 after part one (which I started April of the same year) finished the same time. It will conclude April 2009 and confers an undergraduate certificate in social science and will be approximately my first year at university, hopefully heading to a degree.
The notes are very rough and archived primarily for my own use.
Certain links will lead to dead ends, i.e. some files are only stored locally, this is either because the web host won't accept that file type, or I'm not allowed to put certain files up due to the universities rules.

The following are the references from the course book from the globalisation chapter. They don't have page numbers of where they occour in the OU book as I didn't realise I'd need them at that point.

I developed my own system for inserting references. First of all I go to the course book and copy all the reference list at the end to a seperate file. Then I search the text to find each reference (name, year). Then I write down the essense of the meaning of the citation and the course book page it occours on. Then, after writing my essay, I look for which citations echo points I've made, and just insert them in text (including course book number) and at the end.

Please note that some .doc and .odt (open office) files are in the directory but unlinked and may not be available in the online version of the web site, it depends on what file types the host will accept.
