In other words, you would hook your cheapo used Hi8 vcr to the MiniDV camcorder, and press play, and the video would feed to your PC through the MiniDV player, being instantly converted to digital format by the MiniDV camcorder in the process, and saved right to your hard drive. Then just edit it, burn it to DVD, etc.
Hi8 video tapes can be up to 90 minutes in length. We advise customers to put no more than 2 hours of tape on a DVD to maintain the quality. The cost is £20 per Hi8 video tape inc VAT. Discounts are available for 5 or more Hi8 video tapes to DVD. All of the DVD transfer work is done onsite by trained technicians. Transferring 8 mm footage to a computer for editing
Because Video8 and Hi8 are analog video formats, transferring either to computer requires digitization. One method is to feed the video signal to an analog capture card connected to the computer itself.
Another option involves the use of a pass-through adapter which outputs a digitized video signal in the industry standard DV format. Many consumer-level miniDV and Digital8 camcorders have this facility built-in. The DV signal can then be fed into a computer equipped with a firewire port.
A third route is to find a Digital8 camcorder which supports legacy playback of Video8 and Hi8, and which will output a digitized DV signal directly via its firewire port. This will usually yield an improved image quality compared to the previously mentioned methods, and can offer the advantage of direct computer control over the tape transport, which is difficult (may require extra hardware) or impossible for the bridge method mentioned above.
Once on a computer, footage can be edited, processed and transferred to DVD, the Internet, or back to tape.

The amount you are charged depends on the amount of treatment that

You could try Papyrus or otherwise I saw a place in Queensway Arcade (the shopping corridor above Admiralty Station) that might have what you are after (it's close to Deli France)
If you are
willing to travel to the 'dark side' there is a wonderful store in
Mong Kok that sells all of the above plus more. At first glance it
looks tiny, but as you venture in (3 fl.'s) you realize just how much
they have to offer. I bought my paints, canvases, and easel there. My
paints were reasonably priced at about 23HKD for primary colors
and
more for fancy ones. My tabletop easel was 128HKD. I hope this
gives you a relatively good idea of the prices. I always find it
helpful to have some kind of comparison on stores especially when
painting can become a little pricey.
It is down the street
from the only Starbucks that is on the edge of Mong Kok, Ladies
Market. There is also a DVD shop a few stores down which is usually a
good landmark as it draws a crowd of people watching the outdoor LCD
for the latest movies ect..('40' inch screen, not to be confused with
the big one down he street).

You can register with a GP by looking up your local GP surgery and giving them your medical card details. If you don't have a medical card you should fill in form GMS1, which should be available at the surgery. Once you've been accepted as a patient, your medical records will be transferred to the new surgery and you'll be sent a new medical card.
There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to register with your chosen GP. For example, the practice may be full or you may live too far away. If this is the case, simply choose another GP in your local area.
