Attain your dreams, increase wealth, with the secret of how to make any method of magic, visualization, affirmation etc. powerful, for happiness and inner-transformation. How to guarantee all methods of self-improvement, visualization, affirmations are successful. To best understand how this inner-method will work, then think of your stream (of consciousness) set in a garden. Not only should the stream flow smoothly, but also the trees and plants should provide enough shade to be comfortable - but not so much as to inspire gloom. When the aspects of a garden are balanced, then life is invited to the bounty of plants, flowers, water and so on. With the earlier preparation methods elsewhere in this site, how would you visualise your 'inner-garden' now? If the stream is the moment-to-moment flow of your consciousness, the boulders your philosophies, trees the largest beliefs in your life, flowers happy memories that inspire good moods, and the wind is the experience of life (the things that happen to us day-to-day). When the wind blows through your garden, does it invite life into a hospitable place, does it carry sweet-smelling pollen out to other places; or is it dark with huge trees, a raging stream damaging the plants on its banks, or perhaps a huge wall around it so that no one can see in and enjoy the tranquil beauty. Perhaps it's none of these but somewhere in between. How shall we change, improve ourselves? Our consciousness flows with inner-dialogue and pictures, and we want to do some pruning. We could visualise or use some positive affirmation, but if it were that easy then surely there would be no unhappiness at all. As soon as we stop watching our flow, then it reverts to its 'natural' course, so deeply etched in our inner-landscape that it sometimes looks immutable. Steps to inner-transformation.
Think of running water wearing down a large stone, slowly, piece-by-piece. If you consciously take control of your inner-pictures/dialogue on a regular, To begin with, your visualisations/affirmations will be mere 'temporary replacement thoughts'. So you will visualise yourself being happy, healthy and successful - for a half-hour each morning, then as soon as you're at breakfast the flow of your mind will revert to its usual mix of negativity/positivity. Yet, at the end of the practice, the replacement thoughts shall become permanent. How to make replacement thoughts permanent.Let's take a negative example of how someone's stream might be flowing now. Imagine the (light-hearted) dog example, every time that person gets home, the dog takes another piece of flesh out of their leg. They already have a mind full of negative dog memories, beliefs and experiences. The thing that makes them powerful, and thus 'manifest' in the world, is the emotion that's linked to them. Every time they see a negative media story about dogs, they cringe, feel anger. Then when they get 'wound-up' and recall all their negative dog memories, philosophies etc. they feel anger and annoyance in a PHYSICAL WAY; they can feel the anger rising in their chest, this emotion is what makes the pictures/beliefs manifest so readily. If a belief isn't backed by strong emotion then it isn't really a belief. Just think if you could change every belief in your mind to something beautiful. The problem is that this person has been bitten by the dog every day for the past twenty years and the negative beliefs are backed by very strong emotion. How can you suddenly change such a deeply-etched course?
Remember that this person doesn't have to instantly transform the whole of their mind. As a beginning, they only have to see a positive (mental) dog picture, together with positive physical emotion, Remember, it's the emotion that manifests the beliefs, pictures etc. That person must come across just as many friendly dogs and hear as many positive dogs stories as the rest of us, the thing is that they don't notice because they only link negative emotion to negative dog experiences due to their (incorrect) philosophies, positive dog experiences don't get linked to positive emotions but are (unconsciously) ignored.
Think of someone who falls in love; then falls out of love. When they first meet a new potential partner, then that person is like a blank state and so they project all the things that the person might be, so understanding, tolerant etc. Then they get to know them better, and when the reality doesn't become the assumed/imagined one, the romance is gone. So, was it the person that they loved, or the POTENTIAL? To return to the dog example: to change, this person lies down and visualises happy dogs or whatever, maybe using some affirmations too; here is the key as to whether the exercise will work or not. If that person accepts that their outer-life manifests from the inner one, then the potential is there to be completely transformed. When pictures in the mind come from a new belief and are fused with emotion, then those pictures actually become pictures of the future - and start to manifest; they come true in the 'real' world. The belief they now feel while visualising their new future is so strong, it's then as they see all their happy dog pictures, friendly dogs that they could meet, telling themselves of the good experiences that they could have in the future, they genuinely believe that all the happy pictures they see are the future, and this inspires excitement, an excitement based on a knowing, so strong that it's felt physically, as an adrenaline rush or 'butterflies in the stomach'. Like as a child perhaps, opening the window of an advent calendar, the spurt of excitement is strongly felt in the stomach. So, every day these new emotionally-charged pictures will chip away at all the negative ones and a fresher route will be carved for the flow, and thus is existence transformed. Eventually life will start proving them right. They will meet friendly dogs that prove the new beliefs, and flowers of happy memories sprout along the bank and strengthen the new philosophy. And soon, the replacement thought is the truth. They've become the practice. Concentration
Once you start this, one problem might be concentration. You lay there and visualise a new life and the person you shall become, but after five minutes all the excitement and butterflies are gone and your mind's reverted back to its usual course without you noticing. On this subject, most writers suggest that you simply switch the mind back to the visualisation sequence, but of course, that way you're ignoring something you could have learnt. Each time you realise that your mind has slipped, stop and think, what is the picture/dialogue that has Of course, you could lose your concentration and realise you were worrying that you left the gas on, or what colour bathroom tiles to buy tomorrow. If the interruption was mundane, without meaning, just refocus on the sequence. Another point on this subject that other writers never mention: there are three ways to visualise.
So which is best? The most important thing in this practice is that the pictures cause physical excitement and so the inside method would be most conductive for our purposes, with or without clairvoyance, it's irrelevant as long as you FEEL excitement. If you visualise as though you are inside your head, seeing out from your eyes, then you can also make the whole thing as real as possible, smelling the smells of the scene, touching the things around you, hearing the sounds. The more genuine it seems the better, better in the sense that it will inspire the physical excitement - and of course, physical excitement indicates that your pictures are linked to emotion, emotion is belief - and thus those pictures are your future! Symbols and SymbolismAnother thing rarely (or not?) mentioned is symbolism, which I learnt about from the Tibetans. Say our example was visualising a peaceful dog, to further impress on their mind what they desire, the friendly licks and wagging tale, they could maybe visualise a white aura of peace around it, or perhaps some kind of religious symbol that suggests peace to them. Or as another example, say you needed money, you could visualise cash, you could visualise actual money, maybe symbolic money falling out the sky, or a deity associated with abundance, perhaps something that abstractly symbolises money being drawn to you. If this idea of symbolism appeals to you, then include it as long as it inspires physical excitement. Of all the methods you may try to transform yourself and your life, visualisations, affirmations etc. the same central process - EMOTION (and emotion is inspired by belief), is the unifying goal and the crux of success. Bear this in mind, and everything shall work! When most people talk about visualisation, then this is as far as it goes, but this method will work when it's coupled with the coming outer method. You change your inner-life, and the outer method is an extension that reinforces it. This will work, so get excited about it!
